We Secure Financial Independence

We manage the finances across the Group with the aim of securing the long-term financial independence of the Schwarz Group.

To do this, we cultivate close relationships with our financial partners and coordinate a wide portfolio of finance products on behalf of our colleagues. In doing so, we support Purchasing and Sales by ensuring the efficient processing of payment transactions. We help operational areas reach their strategic goals through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), which we coordinate from start to finish, from the initial analysis to the integration of the target companies.

We are also constantly striving to implement new IT and digitalization solutions to ensure that processes remain efficient, innovative, and fit for the future. Sustainability also plays a role in our day-to-day business.

Financing

In close cooperation with other departments as well as with international finance partners, we are responsible for negotiating, transacting, and managing financing products. The main priority is to ensure the financial independence of our divisions and national companies, taking into account country-wide and division-wide needs. We also use our financial expertise to support the Group with financial analyses and credit assessments of new business partners.

Treasury

We are responsible for liquidity and financial risk management. This involves analyzing and coordinating cash flows, as well as analyzing and developing hedging strategies in case of currency and interest rate fluctuations and changes in the prices of raw materials. We work closely with colleagues from the countries to do this, and implement the agreed measures.

Finance Operations

The focus is on ensuring efficient processes, systems, and products for payment solutions as well as the internal supply of financial data. We fulfill the needs of our customers by means of innovative solutions. and consistently make use of the opportunities opened up by digitalization in this pursuit.  We regularly exchange information with our colleagues in the countries in order to optimize finance-relevant processes and products.

M&A

As the M&A department, we organize and support all mergers and acquisitions across the Group. Our services range from drafting offers to the coordination and implementation of due diligence and company assessments right through to contact negotiation. We also support the integration of the target companies.
